French

The curriculum for French aims to provide access to a rich, broad, balanced and coherently planned series of lessons. We revisit, reinforce and build on prior learning across all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading and writing, giving children lots of opportunities to use their growing vocabulary within lessons.

We strive to prepare children for future studies, travel and work opportunities. The French curriculum aims to provide creative and cross-curricular learning opportunities so that pupils develop an appreciation of mastering a European language.
